Careful What You Wish For

Sometimes you are better off with the devil you know. That's why we should all be careful what we wish for.

For those of us who have been calling for change in the approach of some of the social media giants, the resignation of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey should be a step in the right direction.

Unfortunately it may make things even worse.

The new CEO is Indian born Parag Agrawal. Despite embracing America as his home it seems he doesn't embrace the laws and traditions of his adopted homeland.

In a 2020 interview he rejected to notion of constitutionally enshrined freedom of speech when he said (about Twitter):

"Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment...focus[ing] less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed."

Hardly the stuff to inspire people that big tech won't continue to be the modern day book burning suppressors of ideas and individual thought.

Again, this new CEO is prepared to ignore the constitutional rights of all Americans because it doesn't sit well with his 'times have changed' ideology.

It begs the question what other laws is he prepared to ignore?

If that's not enough he also posted this on twitter back in 2010. Whilst it appears to be quoting someone else's words, there must be a reason why he thought to publish it.

This intemperate tweet is considered by many to be racist. It's also really dumb.

Extremists come in many forms and the label is actually useless now. In the Australian parliament it is used relentlessly by dumb leftists toward anyone who doesn't share their own far-left views.

However, I presume Mr Agrawal is referencing the preponderance of terrorist acts to be committed by adherents to the Islamic ideology. It doesn't mean all Muslims are terrorists but there certainly seems to be a link between the fundamentalists and barbarous acts.

These mad butchers have to be inspired toward their hateful crimes by some text or tenet and they are all found in the hadith, the sunnah and the quran.

I have previously written extensively about the duality of Islamic doctrine.

It is undeniable that it is used as justification by the nutjobs to justify their killing, their treatment of women and so much more.

You'll find crazed nutjobs in every race, creed or colour but rarely can their action be justified by religious texts. There is certainly nothing in the teachings of Jesus Christ that could inspire such atrocities.

The key tenet of the Christian faith is do unto others as you will have them do unto you.

But back to Agrawal and the implications for an even more suppressive approach by big tech toward our freedoms.

A CEO who is prepared to buck the law of the land and demonstrate public support for anti-white racism is a much greater threat to our future than his bearded woke predecessor.

A reminder we should be careful what we wish for.
