Unconventional Weapons

When we think of war, images of soldiers, tanks, battleships and fighter planes become vivid in our mind. Perhaps the futurists amongst us will think of cyber-warfare and drones while the economists might think of trade wars.

In many respects these are conventional wars that pit nation against nation. Regrettably, we are in the midst of a different type of conflict, one that pits citizen against citizen.

The weapons too are unconventional but the results are the same. Our freedoms are being eroded and our prosperity is being appropriated.  

This war is being fought all around the world with various weapons of choice, fired from media battleships, under the marshalling of Generals with stars awarded for bureaucracy and elitism.

The most obvious unconventional weapon is Coronavirus.  

It is being used to scare us into submission, so we meekly give up our rights to an authoritarian state. If you doubt that just have a close look at what s going on in Victoria.

Reports that health emergency hotlines are only open during business hours (you can leave a voicemail after that) makes a mockery of the panic, panic, panic narrative. The imposed 8pm curfew is simply nonsensical. Why are you safe at 7.59 but in grave danger at 8.01?

It's as if the virus has its own stopwatch - set to Victorian socialist time.

Shutting down the economy is also a part of the war against the people. The more citizens directly dependent on the State, the easier they are to control. Especially when they have already been conditioned to put a false sense of safety ahead of financial security and freedom.

That of course plays into the hands of the socialist coveters of others wealth.

The weapons of mass division are also seen in the cancel culture movement where the punishment for non-wokeness is social and business ostracisation.

Every misdemeanour, no matter how slight,  cannot go unpunished; unless you are a minority group member looting and destroying your local neighbourhood. After all, you are only doing it because of some injustice committed back in the days of witch burning and public floggings .

Freedom of thought, speech and worship are being curtailed in favour of group think. It starts in our schools and peaks in our universities - churning out automatons regurgitating mind-numbing propaganda.

If you dare publicly challenge the zeitgeist, you will be eviscerated in the court of media opinion. Wear the wrong cap and you could well be assaulted. Tell an inconvenient truth and risk becoming a pariah. Have the wrong colour skin or an inappropriate appendage and kiss your career prospects goodbye.

Everything is designed to stifle dissent in order the allow the ruling elite to assume their rightful place. The rest of us can continue to exist under the beneficent state created in their image.

This is the real war that is being waged against us.

Abraham Lincoln stated "A house divided against itself cannot stand" and the architects of this war have taken his words to heart.

As once our differences and debate strengthened our freedoms and way of life, today the unanimity of the same is sowing the seeds of our destruction.  

Too few are  prepared to offer even a bleat of opposition as they are meekly led to the slaughterhouse.
