In Oscar Wilde's The Decay of Lying (1889) there is a phrase; “Life imitates art far more than art imitates life.”

That phrase has become one of those deep philosophical questions that can lead to endless debate.

Indeed, it wasn't just Wilde that prompted the discussion.
